Workers’ motivation affects recruitment and retention, which are areas of key concern in many healthcare systems. Using unique survey data on Danish general practitioners (GPs) before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, this talk discusses findings from a study investigating changes in motivation and possible drivers (GP, practice, or area characteristics).

Speaker Lucy Poole is a research fellow in health economics at Danish Centre for Health Economics (DaCHE) and a teacher in the Department of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark, where she is completing doctoral research on physicians’ well-being and provision of care.
